- *****PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: No action or response from contractors is requested. Contractors are encouraged to register as a Plan Holder on the ESOL website***** DESIGN BUILD GYMNASIUM REPAIR AND ADDITION I. GENERAL SCOPE OF WORK It is the intent and objective of the Government to obtain services including all labor, material, transportation, equipment and supervision required for the complete design and construction of repairs and an addition to the gymnasium, Building 66 at NSA Souda Bay, Crete, Greece. Repairs will include improved seating capacity in the gymnasium area, and repairs to the flooring in the existing weight room. The addition will include a new weight room and new cardio room, as well as relocation of an underground fuel tank. The completed project will provide a complete and usable Gymnasium, including all site requirements and site restoration to meet the requirements contained in the Statement of Work. II. SOURCE SELECTION We anticipate that Source Selection with evaluation of price and technical factors will be the contracting method when the RFP is released. Refer to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) part 15 for a description of the "Source Selection" method of contracting. A link to the FAR website is provided on this E-Solicitation website. III. ELECTRONIC SOLICITATION (ESOL). We intend to issue an RFP on or about 8 August 2007 at http://esol.navfac.navy.mil. Through ESOL, the RFP, including plans and specifications, if applicable, will be available for down load free of charge to all prospective proposers. In addition, amendments to this presolicitation notice and the future RFP will be posted on this website for viewing and downloading. POSTING ON ESOL WILL BE THE ONLY METHOD OF DISTRIBUTING THE FUTURE RFP AND AMENDMENTS TO THIS PRESOLICITATION NOTICE AND THE FUTURE RFP. The Government will not distribute documents by fax or CD.
