Description
SCOPE OF WORK Cedar River (Materials) Renton Municipal Airport, Washington 1. LOCATION: Cedar River at Renton Municipal Airport. (See attached map.) 2. METHOD OF DELIVERY: Materials can be delivered by using truck and pup truck and transfer, or belly dump. Supplier must be able to deliver a minimum of 750 tons of material per day. 3. DELIVERED MATERIALS REQUIRED: Base Items: 4x8 Spall Rock 1500 Tons Class IV Riprap 4500 Tons 2 to 3 Washed River Gravel 500 Tons Optional Items: 4x8 Spall Rock 500 Tons Class IV Riprap 500 Tons 2 to 3 Washed River Gravel 250 Tons 4. ROCK GRADATION SPECIFICATIONS: Quarry Spalls 4 to 8 screened crushed rock. From clean, sound, angular material Class IV riprap shall be: 100% smaller than 1,000 lbs. 50% size 400 lbs. 90% larger than 200 lbs. 10% 25 lbs. to 200 lbs. 4. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: OR (COMMENCEMENT AND COMPLETION) Work shall commence on or about August 13, 2007 and completed on or about Aug 31, 2007. 5. SAFETY REQUIREMENTS: Operation of equipment shall be conducted in accordance with the requirements of EM 385-1-1, Safety and Health Requirements Manual. All dump trucks are required to have backup alarms and tailgates. 6. INSPECTION AND SUPERVISION: All work shall be conducted under the direction of the Emergency Management Branch, Seattle District, Corps of Engineers. 7. WORK WEEK: Work week for delivery of materials will be Monday through Saturday unless otherwise directed by COE representative. 8. MAIL INVOICES TO: Emergency Management will prepare the invoice for the contractor, DO NOT mail copies to the Corps of Engineers or to Millington TN. If the contractor prepares their own invoice, then mail original to: Seattle District, Corps of Engineers ATTN: CENWS-OD-EM PO Box 3755 Seattle, WA 98124-3755 9. Certified Payrolls and Owner/Operator Statements should be sent to the field office, if applicable. Otherwise, mail to the above address or fax to 206-764-3319. 10. Payment will be based on the actual tonnage delivered as reflected by the US Army Corps of Engineers, Seattle District, rental equipment record. Invoices will show actual quantity delivered, partial payments authorized, not all options for delivered r ock materials may be authorized.
