- This is a sources sought announcement. The Department of Veteran Affairs is conduction Market research to determine if there are adequate Small Business and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned concerns capable of providing Durable Medical Equipment and Supplies to the VA Medical Center 50 Irving Street Washington DC. This is not a request for interested parties to be placed on a solicitation mailing list. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY AND MUST NOT BE CONSTRUED AS A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP), OR AN ANNOUNCEMENT OF A SOLICITATION. The objective for this effort is for interested parties to provide an offsite Durable Medical Equipment Delivery/ Pick Up, Storage and repair contract for the Washington VAMC Prosthetics Department. Company must send Name and Address, telephone number, and business size along with list of three references to which similar types of services have been previously provided to include contract number, dollar value, and name and phone number of customer. The references must be relevant to the requirement and be within the last three year as of December 1, 2006. The references must also include a description of the services rendered under that contract and demonstrate ability to provide services to the greater Washington DC Metropolitan area. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 423450 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. This procurement action will be issued on an unrestricted full and open competitive basis if it is determined that no capable small businesses and service disable veteran business exist that can provide the products required to service the VA Medical Center listed in this announcement.
