- This announcement constitutes a Sources Sought, Request for Information (RFI) notice for market research purposes. This is not a Request for Proposal, an Invitation for Bid nor a Request for Quotation. This notice is for informational and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. A formal solicitation document does not exist. The following information is requested to assist the Defense Logistics Agency, DES-WC, in conducting market research of industry to identify prospective technically-acceptable, responsible sources. DLA seeks to upgrade the existing AVAYA telephony server. The upgrade includes such related products as Workforce Management and Recording system. The upgrade is necessary because the telephony server must become Windows 2003 compliant. DLA is seeking responsible, technically acceptable sources capable of supplying the following AVAYA-branded, telephone-related, products or services at the Hart-Dole-Inouye Federal Center, Battle Creek, Michigan. 1. One hundred twenty extension-specific software licenses. 2. Avaya Witness Workforce Optimization Package 3. Avaya Witness on-demand Recording Package 4. Avaya Witness integration (includes Communications Manager Programming and Workforce Management Implementation). 5. Power cords, modems, servers and software support. Respondents should include a capability statement in clear, concise and unambiguous language outlining their individual qualifications relative to the above hardware and services requirement. Limit your reply to no more than three (3), single-sided, typewritten pages of text (inclusive of charts, graphs and photos) while utilizing a font size of no less than 12 point. The Government will treat all information received in response to this notice as proprietary and such information will be safeguarded in accordance with applicable Government regulations. Responses to this source sought request for information will not be returned. The submission of this information is for planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Defense Logistics Agency to procure these services, to pay for the information requested or to make an award on the basis of this notice. Responses should contain company name, address, telephone number, facsimile number, e-mail address, CAGE code and business size classification (e.g. large, small, women-owned, 8(a), service-disabled veteran). Respondents should also furnish a list of all current Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) or Government-wide Agency Contract (GWAC) contract instruments currently held. Submissions in response to the RFI shall be sent to David.Straughn@dla.mil and must be received no later than 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time, Thursday, August 9, 2007. Respondents must indicate in the subject line of the e-mail response "Telephone Upgrades?. Submissions may also be faxed to 269-961-4474, ATTN: DES-WC/David D. Straughn. No phone calls accepted. Information provided in response to this RFI will be used to assess tradeoffs, alternatives and to determine if competitive opportunities exist in the marketplace. This is a sources sought request for information. Once again, no solicitation currently exists.
