- This is a sources sought to locate additional sources who can manufacture mesh shorts in accordance with United States Air Force Academy Product Description 34 TRW/SDCU 180, dated 7 Jan 2004 and athletic jerseys in accordance with United States Air Force Academy Product Description 34 TRW/SDCU 205-1, dated 21 Feb 2002. Group color ? Royal Blue 80173. Copies of purchase descriptions can be provided by e-mailing sharton.boston@usafa.af.mil. The North American Industrial Classification System Code (NAICS) is 339920, Sporting and Athletic Good Manufacturing, and the small business size is 500 employees. The mesh shorts and athletic jerseys have to be manufactured in acxordance with DFARS 252.225-7001, Preference for certain domestic commodities which is known as the Berry Amendment. The estimated quantities for mesh shorts are 5,000. Sizes range from X-Small to XXX-Large. The estimated quantities for jerseys are 1,680. Sizes range from Small to XX-Large. MSG/LGCB is attempting to determine the interest and ability of small businesses to fulfill this requirement. PLEASE NOTE that response to this sources sought notice is NOT mandatory to be eligible to receive any potential solicitation. However, the response to this notice will help establish set-aside considerations. This notice is for informational and planning purposes only and does not constitute an Invitation for Bid or Request for Proposal, and is not to be construed as a commitment by the government. The government will not reimburse contractors for any cost incurred for their participation in this survey. At this time, no solicitation exists: therefore, DO NOT REQUEST A COPY OF THE SOLICITATION. Interested small businesses are invited to submit responses to this notice. Responses should include a capability statement outlining vendor qualifications. Responses should also contain: company name, address, point of contact(s), telephone number, fax number, and a statement as to whether your company is domestic or foreign owned. In addition to the size of the business, indicate all classes of business(es) that fit your firm; such as 8(a), Service Disabled Veteran Owned, Small Disadvantaged, HUBZone, Veteran-Owned, Woman-Owned, etc. 10 MSG/LGCB will evaluate the responses to help identify interest and the ability of the small business community to provide Athletic Jerseys and Mesh Shorts. Responses to this notice will not be returned. Please note that though the Air Force will evaluate these statements, the Air Force will NOT be eliminating any company from potential competitions based on the results of these statements.
