- The U.S. Geological Survey intends to award a noncompetitive purchase order to Thomson Scientific for a subscription for ISI Web Science (Science Citation Index Expanded SCIE); Biosis Previews; Current Contents Connect (CCC); and include 2008 option year pricing; and Web of Science (SCIE) Backfile option; Biosis Previews (BP) Backfile option; CALFED Bay Delta Program BP Backfile option; 2002 - 2006 5-year SCIE and BP. The proposed vendor, Thomson Scientific, is the only manufacturer with this information database service that combines evaluated content with the tools to use, analyze and manage the content directly from their desktop. The mission of the CALFED Science Program is to establish the best scientific foundation possible to help guide decisions and evaluate actions critical to the CALFED Bay-Delta Program's success. Access to peer review scientific literature is critical to fulfilling this mission. The Government intends to award this requirement noncompetitively in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, but interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement to the Purchasing Agent no later than the identified response date. All submissions will be evaluated to determine if competitive opportunities exist. This is not an RFQ; however, RFQ 07WRQQ0106 will be posted at a later date. All responses must be in writing by email to the Purchasing Agent at pcharles@usgs.gov.
