- The U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense command/Army Forces Strategic command in Huntsville, AL is contemplating the negotiation of a CPFF, sole source contract with AMTEC Corp., 500 Wynn Dr, Ste 314, Hsv, AL 35816 for effort entitled: Orthogonal Se nsor Fusion System (ORTHON-SFS). The effort will consist of a Lead Systems Integrator for the SECRET requirement to provide a prototype fusion engine (FE), incorporating no less than three optimally chosen sensors to detect the multiple contemporary Impro vised Explosive Device (IED) threats. The FE must be functional in a relevant operational test environment for competitive demonstration in no more than 12 months. Travel will be likely to a number of CONUS and OCONUS sites.
