- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. W91243-07-T-0011 is being issued as a Request for Quotations (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circ ular 05-18. The NAICS code is 561431. PACKAGE TRACKING SYSTEM 1. The Nebraska National Guard has a requirement for a package tracking system in the J6 Distribution Center. 2. Requirements are as follows: General Requirements a. Software must read barcodes of all potential carries delivering packages. b. Must interact with Active Directory to send e-mail notifications to recipients of packages both within and outside the NENG intranet. c. Must assign internal tracking number to all incoming packages. d. Must print out label with date/time received, name/department of addressee, name of sender, and internal tracking number and barcode. e. Must maintain complete history of all packages received to include date received and date delivered. f. Must have signature pad to capture signature of receiving person. g. Must have built-in reports to allow hard copy generation of the following: (1) Undelivered packages report (2) Delivered packages report (3) History of packages received/delivered within a specific time period h. Software diskette, software license, and documentation. i. Ability to work with Windows XP and upgradeable to Windows Vista. Hardware Requirements a. Handheld PC with AC adapter, single cradle, and 3 year warranty b. Infrared device c. Thermal Bar Code Label Printer (USB) d. Cordless laser scanner (barcode reader) (USB) e. Desktop signature pad (USB) Consulting Services & Training Requirements a. Eight (8) hours of training at the J6 Distribution Center on two calendar days for J6 personnel training. b. Complete installation of all software and hardware. c. Testing of system at installation to ensure compliance with all NENG network interfaces. d. Training shall include information on system maintenance, inbound receiving processes, the desktop control system, the delivery process, signature capture, report preparation, and data management. Service and Support a. Support and service by technicians certified and trained by the software manufacturer. b. Other support and services under contract as specified. This RFQ closes on Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. CDT. In order to receive the award, the contractor must be active in the Central Contractor's Registration (www.ccr.gov) prior to award date of Wednesday, August 15, 2007.
