Description
REVISED STATEMENT OF WORK: Haul-out and Launch 41 ft. boat; Pressure wash underwater body. CABIN: Remove all hardware and fasteners including electronics hardware attached to exterior of cabin. Fair all blisters and lightly sand entire cabin to break glaze and rough surface. Prime cabin with 545 primer. Paint cabin with Awlgrip pearl grey. Reinstall all hardware and fasteners including electronics hardware to exterior of cabin. DECK: Remove all hardware and fasteners including cleats. Protect all ventilation openings to prevent entry of blasting material and paint overspray. Mask cabin to protect against damage from sand blasting. Brush blast deck to bare metal with clean, fine aluminum oxide, garnet or equivalent intert material to a 1.5 - 2.5 anchor pattern. Prime deck with 545 gray primer. Prime deck with Awlgrip high build primer. Non-skid deck with Awlgrip pearl grey. Reinstall all hardware and fasteners. HULL: Protect or remove bow lights. Remove rub rail. Inspect rub rail studs and replace as needed. Mask rub rail studs to prevent damage from blasting material. Plug all overboard discharge openings to prevent entry of blasting material. Brush blast hull to bare metal with clean, fine aluminum oxide, garnet or equivalent inert material to a 1.5 ? 2.5 anchor pattern. Prime hull with 545 gray. Prime hull with Awlgrip high build primer. Paint hull with Awlgrip pearl gray. Install new rub rail (Provided by the FLETC) by drilling holes to match existing studs on hull. Underwater Body & Boot-Top: Remove zincs from hull inspect and renew as needed after painting. (When reinstalling zincs insure contact point is to bare metal). Remove the following items to prevent damage from blasting and paint overspray: Shafts, rudders and transducer. Protect rudder and shaft seals from blasting and paint damage. Plug overboard discharges, transducer opening and sea chest openings to prevent entry of blasting material. Brush blast hull to bare metal with clean, fine aluminum oxide, garnet or equivalent inert material to a 1.5 ? 2.5 anchor pattern. Coat underwater body with suitable Antifoulant, Non-copper system. Re-install shafts, rudders, and transducer ORIGINAL NOTICE: This is combination notice and solicitation. No other solicitation will be issued. The Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, Charleston, SC has a requirement to pressure wash; fair dents in hull; sandblast, prime and paint hull and cabine for a 41' boat. Service includes haul-out and launch of craft; remove hardware and electronics to prepare for repair/paint. Boatyard labor: remove hardware and fasteners. Prime hull with 545 grey. Prime hull with Awlgrip (or equal) high build primer. Fair dents in hull. Re-prime with 545 primer. Paint hull with Awlgrip (or equal) pearl grey. Paint rub rail. Prime cabin and decks with 545 primer. Fair blisters and prime with high build as needed. Re-prime with high building and 545 as needed. Paint cabin with Awlgrip (or equal). Paint non-skid. This solicitation incorporates FAR Clause 52.212-4 and 52.212-5 (applicable paragraphs: b(5i), (9), (16)-(23), (25), (33), c(1) and (2). Wage Determination No 2005-2473, Rev 5, is applicable to this solicitation. Vendor must provide Representations and Certifications as specified in FAR 52.212-3. FAR 52.212-1 is applicable to this solicitation. Evaluation will be conducted as per FAR 13.106-2. The evaluation is based on lowest price technically acceptable offer.
