- National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Dassault Systemes Simulia Corp., 166 Valley St, Providence, Rhode Island 02909-2400, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)soliciting from a single source. This requirement is for the renewal of ten (10) Analysis Token Licenses and one (1) Seat of ABAQUS/CAE. NIST has developed ABAQUS software for a project requiring the modeling of nanoscale cantilevers using existing NIST ABAQUS licenses. However,NIST requires additional licenses to support the computations needed to complete the project. The ABAQUS system is only available from Dassault Systemes. Interested concerns may identify their interest and submit a capability statement that demonstrates in written narrative format detailed information addressing their ability to meet the requirement and objectives as described in this synopsis. Capability statements may be e-mailed to Barbara.Guise@nist.gov. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This notice is not a request for competitive quotations. No solicitation is available; therefore, requests for such a document will be considered invalid responses. A determination by the Government whether to compete this proposed requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government.
