- Description
- The National Gallery of Art (NGA) is seeking information on companies that can demonstrate the capability to perform installation, modifications, maintenance and software upgrades to a legacy Honeywell Building Automation System (BAS). The NGA legacy BAS is comprised of an electronic / pneumatic control strategy. The sensors utilized are not only conventional duct and fan temperature and humidity sensors, but also recessed probe wall sensors. The BAS not only controls the environmental system of the NGA, but also the lighting, steam and hot water control, chilled water control, potable water and sewage pot operations. The number of BAS control points is in excess of 10,000. The company or companies the NGA is seeking information must be able to demonstrate the following: 1. The skill and knowledge to modify current legacy system operates on a combination of CARE I through CARE VII, LON and Enterprise Building Integrator software programs. Software modification includes but is not limited to the ability to install, modify, write, interpret, troubleshoot, maintain, upgrade and evaluate the various operating systems. 2. The ability to perform construction in a range of $500,000 - $3,000,000 in a single contract award. 3. The ability to install, calibrate, test, evaluate, inspect, adjust, and repair all hardware components associated with an electronic / pneumatic control system 4. Demonstrate a strong knowledge in psychometric properties of air and air flow characteristics 5. Demonstrate a strong knowledge in the basic properties of thermodynamics as the subject relates to commercial HVAC system 6. Demonstrate a strong knowledge of strict HVAC environmental control applications and concepts 7. Ability to train individuals on software and hardware installed 8. Ability to interpret, modify, prepare, design, read and understand HVAC controls construction drawings and specifications If a company or companies have the capabilities described above, please submit the following information: INFORMATION SOUGHT: 1.
