Description
Improved LAV Cooling System Kit. This is Modification 3 to a previous notice and it changes the solicitation closing from 30 to 45 days after issue. A quantity of up to 873 Improved LAV Cooling System Kits are required for the Light Armored Family of Vehicles (LAV FOV). The IMPROVED LAV COOLING SYSTEM KIT will upgrade the performance of the existing LAV radiator, Part Number 10502053, and adds a fuel cooler to the vehicle. The IMPROVED LAV COOLING SYSTEM KIT upgrades shall be designed into a confi guration that performs its functions within the existing LAV radiator space claim. As a minimum, the Kit shall consists of, the following: radiator, radiator cap, drain cock, overflow hose, fuel cooler with attaching bracket, long and short fuel hose as semblies with quick-disconnects. It is required that the IMPROVED LAV COOLING SYSTEM KIT interface with the existing LAV cooling tower, and provide a common mounting for the hydraulic cooler, P/N 10500579, without any modifications to the vehicle, the veh icles plumbing, cooling tower, or installation of the cooling tower, excluding the fuel lines, which shall be modified to accommodate the fuel cooler. Modifications to the fuel lines must be such that in the event of a fuel cooler failure, the cooler can be bypassed without the need for any tools. The Offerors are required to submit a bid sample, with their proposal, at no cost to the Government. A solicitation will be issued on, approximately on August 10, 2007, and closing approximately 45 days after its issue date (refer to the Solicitation, when it is issued, for specific dates).
