Description
The draft requirement is to provide approximately 20-30 ea point of use (POU) automation technology machines, to include dispensing cabinets, virtual cribs and associated equipment. The equipment is to be located in close proximity to the point of use and be available 24/7 within the applicable maintenance shop. The equipment must be able to withstand temperature fluxes associated with a partially climate controlled hanger/work area. The POU equipment is to be automated and able to dispense the parts, equipment and tools, personal protective equipment (PPE), consumables (such as but not limited to nuts/bolts screws/etc?) and expendable items, directly to the user without assistance of personnel (other than as needed restocking). Bins should be able to be resized/modified for changes in mission needs. (much like sandwich/candy dispensing machines) The cabinets and associated equipment must have see-through doors for visual management/identification with size-adjustable bins for the storage of parts, equipment, PPE and tools. The POU machine must accept the current government issued CAC card or GPC card (TBD) as required. The CAC/GPC cards will be used to record machine transactions and track them back to an end user account. The POU machines will electronically interface with several government supply systems and shall be capable of indicating electronically and visually when any bin in the machine needs to be restocked. The equipment must not require a local server to be functional and must relay all pertinent information to the government?s Facility Equipment Management System (or new eFEMS). The equipment must be able to maintain accurate accounts of all transactions for inventory, restocking and report generation purposes. The POU machines must be able to be moved by government personnel without data loss or malfunction. Any software used on a government network must be approved by the appropriate IT approval process. Machines will electronically and visually report malfunctions to designated monitors/customers and will be repaired or taken off line (manually or electronically) within xx hours. Proposals will not be accepted based on this sources sought announcement. If only partially able to meet these requirements, please provide info on which parts you can or cannot do. email or call Wayne Masters 478-222-1486 or emmett.masters@robins.af.mil
