Description
Special Notice: This procurement is for a Heavy Weight Shock Test, and therefore, only NAVSEA Carderock approved facilities per NAVSEAINST 9491.1D for Heavy Weight Shock Testing on the Floating Shock Platform (FSP) need to be considered. If the vendor has approval, we request that the vendor provide this approval prior to providing the vendor with the SOW, Test Procedure, or extensive discussions regarding the solicitation. For clarification, the testing required cannot be performed on the Mil-S-901D Light weight or Medium weight Shock Machines. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, San Diego (SSC San Diego), intends to issue a Request For Quotations (RFQ) N66001-07-Q-1062 for a firm fixed price purchase order to build test fixture/foundation. (UNDEX on the Barge (floating shock Platform-Deck Simulator fixture). Perform shock test on the AS-4623 Antenna in accordance with the Heavy Weight Shock Test Procedure. (attached) All efforts shall be coordinated with the SPAWAR Systems Center Technical Representative. The SPAWAR Systems Center technical coordinator will be on-site during testing to perform antenna function tests per the procedure. The contractor shall prepare a Shock Test Report in and shall record the accelerometer data as specified in the test procedure and deliver reported data to SPAWAR Systems Center Technical Representative. This is a competitive procurement utilizing simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 541380, and the small business size standard is $11 million. Award will be based on best value evaluation factors to and including Organizational Past Performance and Price which will be evaluated of equal importance. Central Contractor Registration is required for all vendors doing business with DOD and can be obtained at www.ccr.gov. This is a notice of intent, a Request for Quotation (RFQ) will be provided on August 01, 2007.
