Description

This acquisition is UNRESTRICTED. Solicitation Number W9126G-07-T-0193 issued 26 July 2007. This Request for Quotation (RFQ) will result in a Firm-Fixed Price Contract. The contract is in support of the US Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth Dis trict, Capital Regional Offic, Granger Lake, Granger, Texas. Contract completion date is 30 calendar days from Notice to Proceed (NTP) Acceptance Date by the Contractor. The Contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, materials and equipment, to inc lude mobile crane with qualified operator, at the outlet works to refurbish selected gate cylinders at Granger Lake in accordance with these specifications. Scope of work to include all disconnection, removal, disassembly, inspection, repair, reassembly, and installation necessary to perform the work specified herein. Gate cylinder #2 is included in the Base Bid and gate cylinder #1 is included as Option 1. At the completion of work, the entire job shall be left clean and acceptable to the Contracting Of ficer's Representative. The work shall include the following for each selected gate cylinder: a. Disconnection and removal of the hydraulic cylinder at Granger Lake outlet works. It may be necessary to install isolation valves at the cylinder ports for removal. b. Transportation or shipping of cylinder to shop where repairs will be made. c. Disassembly and inspection of cylinder. Notification of the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) before any disassembly of the cylinder is required. The COR will be present during disassembly and inspection. d. Honing of cylinder to remove glaze and minor scratches and installation of new seals and new piston rings. e. Reassembly of cylinder for tests. f. Perform shop tests. COR will be present for s hop tests. g. Transportation or shipping of refurbished cylinder to Granger Lake outlet works. h. Reinstallation of cylinder. i. Perform field tests. COR shall be present for field tests. j. Field verification of all dimensions and existing condit ions and responsibility for same.
