Description
Request for quotation HSCG80-07-Q-3FAT54 will be solicited under full and open competition. The Coast Guard intends to conduct this procurement in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Subpart 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The NAICS Code is 336611 and the small business standard is less than 1,000 employees. The simplified acquisition will be issued as a best value Request for Quotes (RFQ),on or about July 26, 2007 via the Federal Business Opportunities (FEDBIZOPPS) web page at www.eps.gov with quotes due on or about August 1, 2007. The government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after the quote opening or closing date. Hard copies of the specification and solicitation will not be issued. A CD-ROM containing all applicable drawings is available free of charge to contractors upon request not later than three (3) days from the solicitation issuance. The CD-ROM(s) contain WINDOWS compliant raster/vector formats (e.g.*.DWF, etc). The acquisition is for drydock repairs to the USCGC HOLLYHOCK (WLB-214), a 225 foot seagoing buoy tender, at the contractors facility. The cutters homeport is Port Huron, MI. The vessel is geographically restricted to the Great Lakes. The vessel availability is for approximately ten (10) calendar days, starting on or about August 13, 2007. The scope of this acquisition is for repairs of various items aboard the USCGC HOLLYHOCK (WLB-214). The work will include, but is not limited to Remove, clean, inspect and reinstall the controllable pitch propeller hub and blades, Routine drydocking, and Provide temporary logistics. All welding and brazing shall be accomplished by trained welders who have been certified by the applicable regulatory code performance qualifications procedures.
