The need to be no windows. **** *** This is a Request for Quote for a commodity with all installation and removal of old hardware to be included in price*** *** For a copy of the statement of work that includes the pictures and dimensions of the area please email joshua.stone@altus.af.mil *** This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number F1B4L17157A001 is hereby issued as a Request for Quote. The incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-17 15 May 07. This acquisition is 100% set aside for small business concerns and is under North American Industry Classification Standards (NAICS) code 238290, with annual gross revenue not to exceed $13 million. Statement of Work: STATEMENT OF WORK REPLACE EXISTING OVERHEAD DOOR, BLDG 51 1. SCOPE: The contractor shall provide a new curtain type overhead door to replace damaged overhead door in building 51. Note: The existing door also poses a safety hazard (references image 1) to personnel on the upper floor. The contractor shall also provide all plant, labor, tools, equipment, travel, material, supervision, and administration necessary to remove existing Overhead door building 51 and install new curtain type overhead door. 2. PRINCIPAL FEATURES: The work to be accomplished consists, in general, of the following principal items. This does not mean that the work consists only of these items, but that it consists of these principal items along with all incidental minor work which becomes necessary to complete in order to accomplish the overall project in a satisfactory and workmanlike manner meeting the approval of the Contracting Officer. 2.1. Remove existing overhead door and all related hardware, rails, door and operator (including external operator, reference image 2) 2.2. Dispose of old door panel sections and related hardware off Altus AFB. 2.3. Install new curtain type overhead door. Installation will include weather stripping and all related hardware. Type of door shall be a curtain type roll up door to alliviate aforementioned safety hazard reflected in image 1. 2.4. Size of door opening 12?-0? W X 12?-0? H. 2.5. Finish shall be a dark bronze or brown finish. (Sherwin Williams Beatrix Brown SW 2014) or Equal. 2.6. Test door for safe and smooth operation at designed operating speed and to check for conformance to design specifications. 2.7. Operator shall be set-up as a supervised control only. When start stop button is released door automatically stops, no exceptions allowed. 3. GENERAL: All work on this order shall be performed in accordance with the manufacturer?s installation specifications and procedures for each type of work required. When work is not covered by specifications, said work shall be performed in accordance with the manufacturers ?written? specifications, installation instructions or performance procedures. 4. SUBIMITTALS: Contractor?s drawings, brochures or catalog cuts, door-hardware. finish samples and color sample, etc. Image 1 Rail Joints cause safety hazard for personnel. It is amended to read: Submit signed and dated offer to 97 CONS/LGCB, 303 Ave J, Bldg. 302, Altus AFB OK 73523-5132 at or before 1600 (04:00 P.M.) CDT, 31 July 2007. Submit signed and dated quotations on company letterhead or quotation form. Quotations may be faxed to (580) 481-5138. The government reserves the right to make award on the initial quote without discussions. Each offeror shall include a completed copy of the provisions at FAR clause 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items (JUN 2006) with the quotation.
