Description

The U. S. Postal Service is soliciting Qualification Statements from construction firms desiring to be placed on a list of prequalified contractors for Roof Replacement at the Honolulu, HI P&DC. Only the most qualified contractors will be prequalified. To be considered for prequalification, respondents must demonstrate a minimum five years of experience, have a valid State of Hawaii Contractor?s License or provide a copy of the application to obtain such license in the State of Hawaii, have currently ongoing or completed two comparable projects within the past five years. Comparable projects for the purpose of this solicitation are defined as Roof Replacement on an Industrial Building. Qualification Statements will be evaluated in accordance with the following criteria: experience and performance (65%); organization (25%); safety (10%). Other factors that will be evaluated on a pass/fail basis are: background information, backlog, financial capability, bonding, banking, responsibility and affirmation. The Postal Service will issue a solicitation to the Prequalified firms and will request a fixed price proposal. Prequalified firms are not obligated to submit proposals in response to this solicitation. Contract award will be made to the firm offering the best value to the Postal Service within available funding in accordance with evaluation criteria stated in the solicitation. The Qualification Statement package may be obtained by sending an email request to grace.b.zipagan@usps.gov. Qualification Statement packages will be sent via return email to the requestor.
