Description
The FISC Norfolk Contracting Department, Groton Office requests responses from qualified sources capable of providing: Overhaul (repair and maintenance) of twelve Submarine Separators (Camels aka Fenders), and removal and disposal of seven additional separators in accordance with the Performance Work Statement which will be included in the solicitation. This is a SYNOPSIS for commercial services prepared in accordance with the information in FAR Subpart 12.6, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures for commercial items found in FAR Part 13.5, as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. This synopsis shall be posted on both FEDBIZOPPS and NECO (https://www.neco.navy.mil/). The RFQ number is N00189-07-R-G013. The NAICS code is 336611 - Ship Building and Repairing and the Small Business Standard of 1,000 employees. This is a total small business competitive action. The government intents to award a single award with the Camels due 16 weeks after date of contract for the first group of six camels, and 32 weeks after date of contract for the second group of six additional camels. Within this time frame (32 weeks), the seven additional camels shall be removed/disposed of from the navy piers. This solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through FAR and DFARS. It is the contractor's responsibility to be familiar with the applicable clauses and provisions. The clauses may be accessed in full text at these web addresses: www.arnet.gov and www. acq.osd.mil. Lack of registration in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database will make an offeror ineligible for award. The government anticipates release of the RFQ during the week of July 23 or July 30th.
