- Description
- The solicitation will be issued on or about July 30, 2007. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. This project consists of approximately 3,700 linear feet of channel widening, deepening, and realignment of the Blue River between the Brush Creek confluence and 53rd Street in Kansas City, Missouri. The work will include excavation, hauling, in-channel excavation and fill, disposal and compaction of fill, and construction of related outfall structures. Th e project will require close coordination with the on-going Blue Parkway Bridge construction by others and relocation of 36-inch diameter water transmission main. This contract will be a design-build (D-B) type contract. The channel alignment and cross- sectional configuration are established. Design efforts related to the channel will involve finalizing the existing channel design. Conceptual design of the water transmission main relocation and the upstream transition to the existing channel is provide d. The design and construction of a large concrete or riprap outfall structure is included as an option.
