- The VA Puget Sound Health Care System, Seattle WA intends to negotiate a sole source commercial item contract for approx 10 NxStage Portable Dialysis Machines a year, to include consumables with NxStage Medical, Inc. The contract will be for a base period with four one year options. This procurement is being conducted under FAR subpart 13.501(a), Test Program for certain commercial items, in conjunction with Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. This is set aside small business using NAICS 339112. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, and should provide supporting evidence (i.e. authorized distributor certification, etc.) in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone request will not be honored. If however, any source believes it can provide the items described above it is encouraged to email Robin Tice, Contracting Officer at: robin.tice@va.gov. within five days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received the VA Puget Sound Health Care System, Seattle WA will proceed with the intended contract award.
