- The Federal Correctional Institution, Marianna, Florida,is soliciting a contractor to provide services as a Special Learning Needs Instructor. The Special Learning Needs Instructor must possess a Bachelor of Education Degree and a current teaching certificate certified through the State Department of Education. Must also have at least one academic year of professional teaching experience, twenty four semester hours or thirty six quarter hours of course work in special education, that includes at least one course covering the teaching of exceptional students and courses in the appropriate field of specialization. The resulting contract will be a base period, not to exceed twelve months, with one (1) one year option period to be exercised at the sole discretion of the government. The number of one hour sessions is estimated at 1008 for the base period, depending on the actual date of award and the availability of funds. The solicitation will be available on or around July 24, 2007, and will be distributed through the General Services Administration?s Federal Business Opportunities web site http:/www:fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be distributed unless determined by the contracting officer to be in the best interest of the government. Future information concerning this acquisition, including any amendments, will be distributed through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure they have the most up to date information concerning this solicitation. The NAICS code for this requirement is 611699. All qualified responsible sources are encouraged to submit a quote that will be considered for award. The anticipated date of receipt of quotes is on or about August 24, 2007. Faith-Based and Community Based Organizations have the right to submit offers/quotes equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. The government may make award without discussions, therefore, quoters are instructed to submit their best quoter initially. This requirement is 100% set aside for small business concerns.
