- The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Grain Inspection, Packers and Stockyards Administration (GIPSA), Federal Grain Inspection Service (FGIS) has a requirement for an annual estimate of 6,000 quantitative DON (Vomitoxin) test kits. DON is also known as Deoxyniralenol or Vomitoxin. DON is a naturally occurring mycotoxin produced by several species of Fusarium. Wet and cool weather from flowering to maturity promotes infection, which results in a scab or head blight in barley, wheat, oats and rye. The solicitation will be released on or about August 02, 2007. A single award is anticipated and will be firm fixed price requirements contract. The solicitation number: AG-6395-S-07-0052 is to be affixed to all documents submitted in reference to this requirement. Telephone requests will not be accepted. Paper copies of the RFP and/or amendments will not be issued. The solicitation and the specifications will be made available electronically at this website only. All changes to the pre-solicitation notice, solicitation and any attachments will be posted to this website at: www.FedBizOpps.gov.
