Description
The U.S. Coast Guard, Maintenance and Logistics Command Atlantic (MLCA), Norfolk, VA is seeking sources with the technical capability of performing engine repairs on DDEC 6V92TA Propulsion Detroit Diesel Engines used in support of the Coast Guard 47 Foot Motor Life Boat Fleet. Detroit Diesel certifications will be requested for submission when the solicitation is released. The contractor shall furnish facilities, labor, parts, materials, equipment, and special tools required to perform the work. The contractor will be responsible for shipping the engine to the contractor's facility and back to the Coast Guard facility. A requirements contract is being contemplated for a base year with four one year option years. The estimated quantity of engines is 13 each per year. A summary description shall be submitted that details the technical capability of the company to perform the repair work. The North American Industrial Classification Code (NAICS) is 333618, and the small business size standard is 1000 employees. A set-aside determination has not yet been made. Interested parties shall submit their business size and shall include any applicable preference program (i.e. 8(a), HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, Small Business). Responses are due no later than January 29, 2007 by 4:00pm EST and may be submitted via email sherri.l.peele@uscg.mil or facsimile 757-628-4676.
