- Furnish all pine seedlings, labor, and equipment, and performing all work necessary to reforest approximately 4500 acres areas with hand planted containerized longleaf pine (Pinus palustris Mill) seedlings and hand planted or machine planted bare roo t, rust-resistant slash pine (Pinus elliottii) and loblolly pine (Pinus taeda L.) seedlings. Areas to be planted are within the fee lands of National Aeronautics and Space Administrations (NASA) Stennis Space Center, Hancock County, MS. Tree planting wil l be accomplished on multiple areas. Services are for a base year (3000 acres) and one (1) year option (1500 acres). It is anticipated that a Firm-Fixed-Price IDIQ Service Contract will be awarded. This procurement is 100% set aside for small businesses. The size standard for which is a concern, including its affiliates whose average annual gross revenue does not exceed $6.5 million for the past three (3) years under NAICS 113210. The solicitation will only be issued as a direct download at the following website://www.fedteds.gov and will be available for download on or about July 19, 2007. A post award conference will be scheduled. All prospective contractors, subcontractors and suppliers must be registered in FedTeds before they will be allowed to down solicitation information. The solicitation will not be provided in a printed paper format, however, the Government reserves the right to revert to paper medium when it is determined to be in the Governments best interest. Solicitation documents will be posted on FedTeds. FedTeds is a web-based dissemination tool designed to safeguard acquisition-related information. When solicitation documents have been issued and posted to FedTeds, synopsis or pre-solicitation notice will be amended and a link provid ed to access FedTeds. The process to download from FedTeds will be provided with the link.
