- Notice of intent to award a Sole Source Procurement. The Government intends to issue a sole source contract to Embassy Lawn and Landscaping Inc. P.O. Box 29048, Kansas City MO 64152-0348 in accordance with FAR 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items. This pre-solicitation notice, for a planned acquisition, is for Grounds Maintenance Services in the Cadet Area and Cemetery located at the USAF Academy, CO . DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: Grounds maintenance services in the cadet area and cemetery located at the USAF Academy CO. Services will include grounds maintenance and landscaping, snow and ice removal, maintenance and repair of trails, maintenance and replacement of trees, shrubs, hedges, bedding and planted areas, erosion restoration, litter removal, turf and cemetery maintenance, funeral and grave site support, maintenance of improved and semi-improved areas. Support of Direct Mission and special events such as soccer tournaments Parents Weekend, and CORONA. The National Acquisition Industrial Classification Standard Code (NAICS) is 561730 and the business size standard is $6,500,000.00. This acquisition will be conducted IAW FAR Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items and 15 Contracting by Negotiation Procedures to procure a Firm Fixed Price, (FFP) contract. It will include a base (1 September 2007 through 30 November 2007), plus two option periods (December 2007 and January 2008). The 10th Contracting Office intends to award a contract by other than full and open competition in accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(2) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. 15 U.S.C 657a as implemented by FAR 19.1306, Sole source awards under the HUBZone Act of 1997.
