Description
Modification to correct the frequency band ranges on transmitter specifications. The 412 TW/AFFTC, Edwards Air Force Base, CA is seeking potential sources capable of providing multi-mode telemetry transmitters equal to the salient characteristics listed to meet the form, fit, and function of existing systems: Characteristic Specification Size 6 cubic inches, 2.00? (W) x 3.00? (L) x 1.00? (H) Modulation type PCM/FM (ARTM Tier 0), SOQPSK-TG (ARTM Tier I), and Multi-h CPM (ARTM Tier II) RF output power 10 Watts, Variable (31 settings over 24 dB range, non-uniform, largest step approx 1dB) Carrier frequency tuning range, Upper L-band transmitter 1710.0 MHz to 1850.0 MHz Carrier frequency tuning range, Lower L-band transmitter 1435 MHz to 1535 MHz Carrier frequency tuning increment 0.5 MHz Carrier frequency accuracy ? 2.5 ppm over temperature, ? 7.5 ppm, all causes, including aging over 5 years Data (bit) rate 1-20 Mb/s, automatic rate adaptation Input voltage +28 ? 4 VDC Input current 1.6 Amps maximum, all conditions,1.5 Amps, typical Power reversal Reverse voltage protection Turn-on startup time < 240 mS Control interface RS-232 serial control Signal interfaces Serial data with separate synchronous clock, TIA/EIA-422 Randomizer 15-stage LFSR, per IRIG 106. Firms responding to this notice must identify their company?s capabilities to perform the requirements described herein, reference the number and indicate whether or not that they are a small business concern as defined in FAR 52.219-1. The NAICS code is 334220. The Small Business size standard is 750. The information received as the result of this synopsis will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Air Force not to open the requirement to open competition, based on response to this sources sought synopsis, is solely within the discretion of the Air Force. The Government does not intend to pay for any information provided under this sources sought synopsis. It is anticipated that a Firm Fixed Price contract will be awarded in Aug 2007.
