- The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing this Sources Sought Notice to determine the interests and capabilities of Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) firms with regard to an upcoming acquisition for construction services at the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, TX. The firm must be a General Construction company with an approved NAICS Code 237990 and a bonding capacity of approximately $30 million. If you are a SDVOSB please do not respond to this announcement. Respond to the announcement directed to SDVOSB. The contractor shall provide construction services for development burial sections (pre-placed crypts, conventional plots, in-ground cremains and columbaria); demolition and renovation of existing buildings; construction of a vehicle storage building; irrigation; roadwork; landscaping; clearing and grubbing; and site utilities (water, electrical, storm water, etc). The estimated cost for this project is between $20,000,000 and $50,000,000. VOSB firms having the skills and capabilities necessary to perform the stated requirements are invited to provide information to contribute to this market survey/sources sought. Responses must include the following information and are limited to 10 pages or less: 1. RFI announcement number and name. 2. Company name, DUNS number, address, point of contact with phone number and e-mail address. 3. Individual and aggregate bonding limits and current capacity. 4. Construction experience of similar projects in size and scope. Describe 3 projects in the last 3 years and include: (a) Contracting Agency Address & contracting officer's name and telephone number. (b) Contract Number, date and amount of award, date of completion of YOUR portion of the contract. (c) Description of Items/Services provided under the contract. (d) If any bonding was provided, what was the amount of bonding? (e) If performance was as a subcontractor, please provide the name, address and telephone number of the point of contact at the prime contractor. E-mail your responses to the Contracting Officer, Candace Wood, at candace.wood@va.gov no later than August 1, 2007. At this time no solicitation exists, therefore, DO NOT REQUEST A SOLICITATION package.
