- Description
- The FAA has a requirement to upgrade existing platforms. This upgrade will modify the existing platforms from a single point of failure architecture to a fully redundant/fault tolerant architecture. PERFORMANCE TECHNOLOGIES is the sole manufacturer of the components that makeup the PT-AMP-5091 platform. Software for the ADAS Rehost project has been developed to work with the Performance Technologies platforms. Procurement of a different platform would require complete re-engineering of the project software. The alternative to upgrading the existing equipment would be to procure new platforms, which would be cost prohibitive and beyond the sccope of the FAA's ADAS Rehost budget. The FAA intends to make award to Performance Technologies on a single source basis. This procurement is not available for competition.
