- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Medical Center, Butner, NC, intends to negotiate a sole source procurement with Joint Commission Resources, One Lincoln Center, Suite 1340, Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181 for a custom education Program (consisting of two (2) two-day training sessions) to identify Life Safety Code Compliance issues, state the fundamental principles of assessment, policy development, training, inspection, information collection, and analysis, and the application of each in the seven emergency plan areas to effectively and efficiently comply with the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Organizations (JCAHO) standards. The 2-day courses will be conducted at Federal Bureau of Prisons, Management Specialty Training Center, National Academy of Corrections, Aurora, Colorado. The Period of Performance for this procurement will be August 13, 2007 through August 16, 2007. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 813920 with a standard size of $6.5 million. This Notice of Intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within 2 days after publication of this synopsis. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability by submitting literature, detailing how their products/services meet BOP requirements, to the Contracting Officer or by fax 919-575-4821. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
