Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 13.106(b)(1), with Orland Airport Marriott, Orlando, Florida for Meeting Facilities on January 22-24, 2007, to include full breakfast, AM break/refresh, afternoon break, lunch buffet, evening reception (1 day), meeting room rental, AV = LCD projector, screen 10x10, 2 hand held microphones(wireless), 2 lavaliere microphones(wireless), 4-channel mixer, podium with microphone, flip charts/easel/pad for a period 2 days. 85 Rooms (65 standard/15 government) for attendees to be paid by individuals. (NIST is not responsible for room rentals). *** The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 721110. Based on market research Orlando Airport Marriott appears to be the only source available in the Orlando, FL, area that can meet NIST's requirments for the dates noted. The Government anticipates the award of a firm-fixed price purchase order. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. A determination by the Government whether to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Infomration received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competition.
