- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, CA intends to procure on a full and open competition price basis Seventy (70) Flight Termination Receivers. The Flight Termination Receivers (FTR) shall conform to specification NAWC-CH3164, Naval Air Warfare Center, Weapons Division, Department of the Navy, Performance Specification Receiver for the Flight Termination Receiver/ Decoder, and the SOW. The FTR will be used to terminate flight of a HARM telemeter missile, and will be installed in a missile to decode frequency modulation tone from ground base command transmitters and provide flight termination command signals for range safety purposes. The FTR incorporates a receiver and four channel toned decoder with command fail safe. The Government reserves the right to waive first article for Flight Termination Receivers where the manufacturer has not experienced a gap in production of more than two years, Design, Construction, & processes are the same as the previously qualified unit, and Manufacture of the units and acceptance testing are in the same location as the original manufacturing and acceptance testing. Delivery will be FOB Destination to China Lake, CA; the first four Receivers shall be delivered 3 months ARO; and the remaining units shall be delivered at a rate of 10 units per month thereafter. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. Estimated award date is September 30, 2007. The solicitation will be issued on or about August 1, 2007 and will be available through the Federal Business Opportunity website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov.
