Description
The U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Aircraft Operations Center (AOC), located at MacDill AFB, FL intends to issue a firm fixed price commercial items contract for corrosion inspection and removal in accordance with PSM1-6-5, years 1 thru 5, other FAA Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins, and painting of a DeHavilland DHC-6-300 Twin Otter aircraft. The proposed acquisition is for services for which the Government is seeking contractors who can perform both Twin Otter aircraft corrosion inspection and removal and painting. It is not in the Government's best interest to procure these services separately. The AOC aircraft will not be available for flight to the contractor facility until October 5 or later, 2007. Once work commences, the inspection and repair of all discrepancies should be completed within 60 calendar days. Actual schedule start and completion dates are to be negotiated between the Government and the contractor. Firms must be either a FAA Repair Station or Canadian AMO Center and carry the appropriate hull insurance of not less than $2,000,000 to cover the aircraft. Interested firms wanting to be placed on the list to receive notice of issuance of the RFP shall include, in writing, the company name, address, point of contact, telephone number, and business size; a statement regarding their capabilities and qualifications to perform both Twin Otter aircraft corrosion inspection and removal and painting. Responses can be faxed to Ron Anielak at (816) 274-6951 or sent via email to Ronald.f.anielak@noaa.gov. All responsible business sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. DOC, CRAD requires that all contractors doing business with this office be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR). No award can be made to a company not registered in CCR. For additional information and to register in CCR, please access the following web site: http://www.ccr.gov. In order to register, all offerors must have a Dunn & Bradstreet Number. A Dunn & Bradstreet number may be acquired free of charge by contacting Dunn & Bradstreet on-line at https://www.dnb.com/product/eupdate/requestOptions.html or by phone at (800) 333-0505.
