Description
The United States Geological Survey, Earthquake Hazards Program, has a requirement for the planning and subsequent convening of a National Earthquake Hazards Reduction Program (NEHRP) workshop to promote the development of earthquake scenarios in U.S. communities with seismic risk and to use the results of the workshop to provide guidance for community-based scenario development and use. The workshop will be held in Seattle, Washington, or San Francisco, California, and is tentatively planned to take place during April, May or June of 2008. The period of performance for the entire contract is anticipated to be September 25, 2007, through September 24, 2008, with one six month option period. A Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued in accordance with FAR Part 12. This acquisition will result in one contract to provide all required services. A solicitation is anticipated to be issued within 7 days from this posting, with an anticipated 14 days for proposal response. Award will be made on the basis of best value with trade-off source selection. Offerors must be CCR registered and are encouraged to use the On-Line Representations and Certifications (ORCA) at https://orca.bpn.gov. The Contracting Officer for this acquisition is Melissa W.
