- The Philadelphia District intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) to acquire a new 32-inch I.D. long-life stern swivel assembly and a new 32 inch I.D. long-life elbow for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St Louis Districts Dustpan Dredge POTT ER. This project includes engineering and design, fabrication, and delivery of the new components. The Dredge POTTER is a Dustpan Dredge 234 feet long with a 46 feet Beam, which operates in the Mississippi River near St. Louis. The stern swivel is the p art of the dredge pump discharge pipe that connects the pipeline pontoon system to the dredge and allows it to swivel. The Government intends to procure major components and technical expertise to replace the existing stern swivel system and also to impro ve the efficiency of the system. A detailed design for the stern swivel components will be included as part of the solicitation package. The major components to be procured are the stern swivel, elbow, and adaptor flanges. All components are to be deliv ered to the St. Louis District. The period of performance is 210 days. Solicitation Number W912BU-07-T-0068 will be issued on or about 23 July 2007 with a closing date on or about 03 August 2007 at 1315 hours. To be eligible for an award, offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration Database. Central contractor registration information can be obtained by calling (888) 227-2423 or via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov as required by DFARS 204.7300. All quotes are to be delivered t o the Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District, Wanamaker Building, Room 643, 100 Penn Square East, Philadelphia, PA 19107-3390, Attn: Ms. Julina Lee. Solicitation documents, plans and specifications will only be available via the Federal Technical Data Solution (FedTeDs) system webpage at https://www.fedteds.gov. Int erested parties must register as a Vendor with FedTeDs before accessing the system. In order to register as a Vendor in FedTeDs, offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) system at http://www.ccr.gov. Interested parties can access the data for the solicitation through the hyperlink established in the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) system announcement at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. The hyperlink will redirect to the solicitation-specific data in FedTeDs. Registr ation for updates to plans and specifications should be made on the FedBizOpps webpage for this solicitation.
