- Maintenance dredging under this contract will be performed at various locations along the Inland Waterway Chesapeake and Delaware Canal and Upper Chesapeake Bay portion of this project. The base bid will consist of dredging the canal from Station 99 +000 to 250+440. Dredging from Station 99+000 to Station 163+655 will be required to a depth of 35 feet with a one foot allowable over depth; Dredging from Station 163+655 to Station 250+440 will be required to a depth of 37 feet plus one foot allowable o ver depth. There will also be one (1) Option which will consist of dredging the canal from Station 0+000 to Station 99+000 to a required depth of 35 feet with a one foot allowable over depth. No side or end slopes will be specified and/or paid for along b oth channel edges (box cut). Dredging will be performed to a point extending 25 feet outside the channel edges in the Upper Chesapeake Bay Approach Channel (Station 99+000 to Station 250+440) where shoaling occurs along the channel edge within the authori zed channel limits. The work from Station 0+000 to Station 163+655 may be performed by bucket, hopper or pipeline dredge. The material to be removed from Station 163+655 to Station 250+440 shall be performed by bucket dredge and bottom dump scows only, w ith material placement in overboard disposal area. The Government-furnished Disposal Areas available for use under this contract are Chesapeake City, Courthouse Point and Overboard disposal area known as Site 92 in the Chesapeake Bay. Solicitation Number W912BU-07-B-0007 will be issued on or about 27 July 2007 with a bid opening date of 28 August at 11:00 A.M. The NAICS Code is 237990 with a size standard of $18.5 million. The estimated range of the project is $1,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00 and bonding is required. The contract duration will be 120 calendar days. Solicitation documents, plans and specifications will only be available via the Federal Technical Data Solution (FedTeDS) homepage located at https://www.fedteds.gov. Registration for plans a nd specifications should be made via FedTeDS Internet homepage and hard copies will not be available. No written or fax requests will be accepted. All prospective contractors and their subcontractors and suppliers must be registered in FedTeDS before the y will be permitted to download solicitation documents/information. FedTeDS registration requires the following information: CCR Marketing Partner Identification Number (MPIN), DUNS Number or CAGE Code, Telephone Number and E-mail Address. Registration instructions can be found on the FedTeDS website at https://fedteds.gov by clicking on the Register with FedTeDS hyperlink. It is the contractors responsibility to monitor FedTeDS for any amendments. Also, contractors who receive a federal contract of $ 25,000.00 are required by legislation (FAR 22.1310(b)) to submit an annual VETS-100 Report on your employment of targeted veterans.
