- Vicksburg Consolidated Contracting Office intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 to CRAY Inc., 411 1st Ave. S. Ste. 600, Seattle, WA 98104-3847 for a CRAY server. This procurement is being conducted under Simpl ified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabili ties/qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact no later than 1000 hrs Central Time Zone on 16 July 2007. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to co nduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral commun ications are not acceptable in response to this notice. No RFP will be issued based upon this Notice of Intent.
