- Sole Source. The United States Army Contracting Agency (USACA), Southern Region, Yuma Proving Ground (YPG) Yuma, Arizona, intends to negotiate a contract for other than full and open competition with Visual Instrumentation Corporation (VIC), 1110 W. Avenue L-12, Unit 2, Lancaster, CA 93535-7039 for 12 each - Model TF-40 Cinetel II telephoto lens, 1000mm f/5.6 in universal mount, with built-in S00739 optically flat clear glass filter assembly Model GF-7C. Ruggedized for field application and painte d Missile Range White; 12 each Model LAP-1 universal lens adapter to C-Mount. The Cinetel II telephoto lenses are a propriety product designed specifically for Visual Instrumentation Corporation to its specifications. These lenses will be utilized a t the U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG), Yuma Test Center, Optics Division, Maintenance and High Speed Photo Branch. This acquisition will be issued using Test Program for Certain Commercial Items, FAR Part 13.5. The Standard Industrial Classificati on (SIC) is 3861 and North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 333315 with a Size Standard of 500 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete with this propo sed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses other than the above source may identify their interest and capabilities to perform the requirement by submitting a proposal via email or facsimi le with complete mailing address, point of contact, phone number, facsimile number and business size. Please forward your information not later then 4:30 PM MST on 25 July 2007 to the address contained in this notice. See Note 22 with the exception that the time period for the receipt of proposals for consideration is 5 days instead of 45 days.
