- USMEPCOMs Medical Plans and Policy Directorate is responsible for reviewing and ICD-9 coding medical records of the recruits who were medically discharged within the initial 180 days of service for a medical condition that existed prior to service ( EPTS). The Contractor shall provide certified medical coder(s), to review and code no more than 10,000 EPTS records, and provide consultation on coding processes and procedures during the period of 1 October 2007 through 30 September 2008 with 2 one-year option periods. The award of any contract issued as a result of the solicitation will be made to the lowest-priced, responsive, responsible, offeror. This requirement is set-aside for small business. NAICS 541611, with a size standard of $6.5M, appl ies to this requirement. The solicitation will be issued on or about 19 July 2007 with quotes due on or about 9 August 2007. The solicitation will be posted on the Fort Knox homepage website at http://doc.knox.army.mil on or about 19 July 2007. No pape r copies of the solicitation will be issued. All amendments to the solicitation will be likewise posted to this website. Contractors are cautioned to check this website for amendments. No solicitation mailing list will be compiled.
