Description
Olympus Pulmonary Endoscopy Equipment-The Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Olympus America Inc. for the purchase of Olympus Pulmonary Endoscopy Equipment to operate with existing HD Olympus Equipment in Milwaukee VA's GI lab. This procurement is being conducted in accordance FAR 6.302, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. NAICS 339112. To the best of our knowledge, Olympus America Inc. is the only vendor that has autoclavable video broncoscopes with 5.3mm diameter distal tip with 2mm biopsy channel, a high definition video endoscopy processors, and a light source with narrow band imaging that are compatible with VA Milwaukee's existing HD Olympus equipment. Features such as; high definition and narrow band imaging are the latest technologies in video endoscopy allowing for higher quality healthcare and the autoclavable equipment is necessary to avoid any damage during the sterilization process. The required equipment must have specified features and be compatible with existing HD Olympus equipment. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Office within (ten) 10 calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Information can be sent to the Contracting Officer, Department of Veterans Affairs, Jesse Brown VAMC (537), 820 S. Damen Ave., Chicago, IL 60612 or via fax to (312) 569-7738. Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely at the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the GLAC will proceed with the sole source negotiation with O1ympus America, Inc.
