Description
In accordance with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Acquisition Management System (AMS), Section 3.2.2.4 the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis for the FAA's decision to award with a selected source via single source procedures. The FAA intends to enter into a single source award with Signatec, Inc. of Newport Beacgh, CA. The Aircraft Geometric Height Measurement Element Constellation (AGHME) is a unique system, which passively measures aircraft geometric height transponded Mode S Message. Timing interrelationships are critical to the system function. Because of the dependencies between the components within the integrated design this source represents the only known manufacturer that meets the design requirement for building the AGHME system. Quantities and part numbers are as follows for this subsystem. Quantity of 10 - PDA1000-512M (Digitizer Boards) Quantity of 5 - PMP1000-2 (Parallel DSP Boards) Quantity of 6 - A1-C (Data Throughput Support) Quantity of 3 - PWS-0038 (Power Support) Quantity of 6 - ST3200820A (Storage Support) All products must be acquired from the same source. Therefore, only one award will be made. If your firm does not agree with this single source determination, please provide evidence of your firm's capability and experience in providing the above products. The FAA will evaluate that information accordingly. All responses to this announcement must be directed to James Crawford, Contract Specialist, by 9 a.m. Eastern Time, July 17, 2007, at the FAA William J. Hughes Technical Center, Contracts Branch, AJP-7951, Atlantic City International Airport, NJ 08405.
