- Description
- The intent of this contract is to secure services for the piling of down woody material and competing vegetation. Pile natural fuels and thinning trees for fuel reduction and forest health. The project consist of approximately 334 acres. Estimated start date is September 4, 2007 with an estimated contract time of 274 days. The project is located on the Tahoe National Forest, Sierraville Ranger District. Project may be reach from Sierraville via Highway 89 south 8 miles to Little Truckee summit. Right onto the Jackson Meadows road for 2 miles to the Independence Lake Road. Left onto the Independence Lake Road for approximately 1 mile to the project area. Solicitation package will be available approximately July 25, 2007 with a bid closing date of August 27, 2007.
