- The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to issue a solicitation seeking quotations for Tate Access Floors, Inc. 20,400 Square feet of Tate Access Floors, Inc. CONCORE 1250 FLOOR PANEL W/POSITILE HOLE NSN/ Mfr.Part No.: 7586 and all related understructure necessary for installation. The vendor shall also supply 600 Square Feet of Vented floor tile compatible with existing floor of at least 1250 lb per sq. ft. rating and also include understructure. Delivery is FOB destination, 120 days after contract award. All flooring supplies provided shall be Tate Access Floors, Inc. BRAND NAME ONLY. Tate Access Floors, Inc. has been consistently utilized at SSA's National Computer Center. Other brands are not compatible with existing flooring and could not be used to create a safe and secure environment. The use of such brand name description in this acquisition is essential to the Government's requirements, thereby precluding consideration of a product manufactured by another company. This acquisition will be conducted in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Any additional information and documents on this requirement will be posted to FedBizOpps (www.fbo.gov). Potential Offerors are responsible for monitoring the FedBizOpps site for release of this solicitation, amendments and all other documents relative to this solicitation. Requests for paper copies will not be honored. Prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) https://www.bpn.gov/CCR/scripts/index.html database prior to award of any contract. SSA anticipates release of the Request for Quoatation (SSA-RFQ-07-1659) on or about July 11, 2007. Interested parties must respond to the solicitation in order to be considered for award of any resultant contract. All questions must be submitted in writing via e-mail to bridget.hamel@ssa.gov.
