- THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT to inform that the Alpena Combat Readiness Training Center (CRTC) intends to award a service contract to Verizon, Inc. as the Local Area Telephone Exchange for the Alpena CRTC, Alpena, Michigan. The Government requires tha t a new demarcation cabinet be established at the minimum point of entry just outside the base entrance, and that the existing demarcation cabinet to be retired. Verizon has sole proprietorship of the telephone cable outside the installation up to and to include the demarcation cabinet and are the only company authorized to relocate the service. Contractor is required to provide all labor, equipment, tools, and material necessary to disconnect telecommunication service at the existing demarcation cabinet, establish a new demarcation cabinet at the minimum point of entry located at the base entrance (point designated by the government), establish connection into the existing government owned telecommunication network and verify functionality of all voice/da ta circuits and commercial telephone lines at Alpena CRTC, and retire the existing Verizon facilities and demarcation currently serving the installation.
