- Bids are being solicited under solicitation number GSG607179N0013. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; bids are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation is issued as an invitation for bids (IFB), unless otherwise indicated herein. Notice of Intent To Award A Sole Source Contract: Sellers bidding on this opprtunity MUST have the items requested on the specified contract. The contract must either be in the seller's name or the seller must be able to document its ability to act as an agent of a partner's contract. Sellers may offer Open Market items only in accordance with the approved Terms and Conditions of their respective contract AND approval from the soliciting contracting officer. This requirement is a [ Small Business ] set-aside and only qualified sellers may submit bids. The solicitation pricing on www.FedBid.com will start on the date this solicitation is posted and will end on 2007-07-16 13:00:00.0 Eastern Time or as otherwise displayed at www.FedBid.com. FOB Destination shall be Multiple shipping information. The USA ACA Ft. Bragg requires the following items, Exact Match Only, to the following: LI 001, Fort Bragg Directorate of Contracting (DOC), ATTN: SFCA-SR-BR, Bldg 1-1333 Armistead & Macomb Streets, Fort Bragg, NC 28310-5000. This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT using the simplified acquisition procedures of FAR Parts 12 and 13 to provide for a ?fully integrated Broadband Global Access Network (BGAN) communications package that will support secure/non-secure voice and data communications for XVIII Abn Corp, ACofs G6, Fort Bragg, NC 28310-5000. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. The DOC intends to procure the following equipment: CLIN 0001: Tactilink- Dragon-Lite, 2 each; CLIN 0002: Case 2 Includes: Accessories for Tactilink-Dragon-Lite); CLIN 0003: Panasonic Toughbook Laptop Computer, 4 each; CLIN 0004: Cisco Router/Firewall/4-port switch with Licenses and SMARTNET 1 Year 24/7/4h support, 2 each; CLIN 0005: Motorola Sectera Inline SCIP Encryptor, 2 each; and CLIN 0006: L-3 Talon TCP/IP Device Encryptor, 4 each. The Government intends to award a sole source contract to the firm Sierra Nevada Corporation, 3139 Doc Bennett Road, Fayetteville, NC 28306-8420. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(2)(i), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order/contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Bragg intends to conduct an online competitive reverse auction to be facilitated by the third-party reverse auction provider, FedBid, Inc. FedBid has developed an online, anonymous, browser based application to conduct the reverse auction. A Seller may submit a series of pricing bids, which descend in price during the specified period of time for the aforementioned reverse auction. USA ACA Ft. Bragg is taking this action in an effort to improve both seller access and awareness of requests and the agency's ability to gather multiple, completed, real-time bids. All responsible Sellers that respond to this solicitation MUST submit the pricing portion of their bid using the online exchange located at www.FedBid.com.
