- The National Institutes of Health (NIH) National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) intends to procure a Field Service Contract for an existing FLIPR TETRA 96 instrument from Molecular Devices, 1311 Orleans Drive, Sunnyvale, CA 94089. The Flipr Tetra requires continuous maintenance. This type of service is only available from the manufacturer Molecular Devices and necessary due to the high-tech parts that are required for the successful operation of the Flipr Tetra 96. Molecular Devices technicians have the expertise necessary to provide technical service for this instrument. THIS WILL BE A BASE PLUS TWO YEAR OPTION CONTRACT. This is not a solicitation for competitive proposals, however all responses received before the closing date of this announcement will be considered by the Government. The determination to compete or not compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. It is anticipated that the Request for Quotation (RFQ) NIH-NIDDK-07-310 will be available fifteen (15) days after the publication of this synopsis. Receipts of quotations will be due ten (10) days after the release of the RFQ. Request for copies of the RFQ must be submitted to the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases, 6707 Democracy Boulevard, Two Democracy Plaza, Room 765C, Bethesda, MD 20892, ATTN: Tina Robinson or via email: robinsti@mail.nih.gov or fax 301-480-4226. FAX quotations must contain offerors name, address, telephone number and fax number. FAX quotations will be accepted if dated and signed by an authorized company representative. All requests for quotations must have a valid email address. Collect calls will not be accepted. PLEASE NOTE: In order to receive an award, contractor must be registered and have valid certification in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) http://www.ccr.gov
