Description
This publication serves as notice of intent to procure supplies for the Department of Commerce(DOC), National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Fisheries Pt. Adams Research Facility located in Hammond, OR on a sole source basis with Biomark Incorporated in accordance with the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253 ( c)(1) only one responsible source. The government intends to acquire quantity of four (4) each Model FS1001M 24 volt DC Multiplex (MUX) Transceiver using FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The FS101M transceiver has full duplex interrogation on six (6) individual channels (ports); operate at 24 volts with 1 Amp power. The FS101-M transceivers are critical to both the trawling PIT-tag recovery study which utilizes up to six (6) detection coils simultaneously. These instruments are replacements units for existing units and will provide back-up during field season applications. Biomark Incorporated is the sole source and exclusive distributor of Destron Technologies, the manufacturer of FS101M in the United States and Canada for fisheries and wildlife. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 15 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This is a small purchase action estimated value of less than $100,000.00. ****The Western Regional Acquisition Division, requires that all contractors doing business with this Acquisition Office be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) as of October 1, 2003. After this date, NO award can be made unless the vender is registered in CCR. For additional information and to register in CCR please access the following web site: http://www.ccr.gov. In order to register with the CCR and to be eligible to receive an award from this acquisition office, all offerors must have a Dun & Bradstreet Number.
