Jerome Bauer, WRP Restoration WRP Project #66-5F48-5-026 Township: Rock Creek (Rock Falls, WI) Zip Code: 54764 Dunn County Wisconsin Practices: Site Prep (includes stripping), Spillway, Tree Removal, Fencing, and Seeding Project involves the construction of an 1156 foot embankment with wave berm on prior cropland with spillway 425 feet in length. Also included will be micro-topography excavations within the pool area, tree removal and tree trunks relocated in the pool area for habitat improvement, fencing, and seeding of constructed practices with specified seed mix. Performance: 18 days on-site (assuming 3 pieces of heavy equipment) Project #2 ? Marifke WRP Restoration Wetland Reserve Program (WRP) Reference No. 66-5F48-5-024 Township: Bridge Creek (Augusta, WI) Zip code: 54722 Eau Claire County Wisconsin Practices: Site Access/Site Prep, Ditch Plug, and Seeding Project involves gaining access to the construction site through a wooded area and constructing a shallow wildlife scrape irregular in shape .50 to .75 acre in size with varied bottom depths up to 3 feet. Excavated spoil from scrape will be removed and spread in a specific location. Also tree removal and the placement of larger tree trunks for habitat improvement, the seeding of disturbed access road, borrow site, and ditch plug with a specified seed mix. Project involves the construction of 2 embankments with a wave berm, 858 feet and 927 feet in length on prior cropland consisting of silt loam soils with spillways 240 and 190 feet in length. Installations of 2 inline PVC water control units, anti-seep collars and rodent guards. Project also includes the breaking of 5 specific existing tile lines. Tree and debris removal and placement for habitat improvement and the seeding of constructed practices and upland areas with specified seed mixes. Performance: 21 days on-site (assuming four pieces of equipment) Seeding Application Window: August 1st thru 21st or November 1 thru Snow Cover GENERAL PROJECT NOTES: Project Plans will be posted with full solicitation (on or about July 26th)! Pre-proposal meeting will be August 3, 2007 at 10:30 AM at; USDA NRCS, Altoona Area Office 1304 N Hillcrest Pkwy, Suite A (Conference Room) Altoona, WI 54720 These are federal construction projects, Davis-Bacon Wage Rates will apply to work under any resultant contract. These projects may be completed in any order ? however, NRCS must approve schedules and give official Notice to Proceed prior to start of work at each site. All work, including permanent seeding must be completed no later than November 15, 2007. Estimated 53 calendar days to complete on-site work, assuming five 10-hour workdays, excluding federal holidays and weekends and considering equipment on-site as described above. Performance period will be; Date of Award thru November 15, 2007. Range of Construction: $40,000 to $60,000 (total for all four projects)
