- Description
- The Olympic National Forest, Washington, intends to acquire by contract: traverse and post timber sale unit boundaries; and cruise timber to the standards stated in the Forest Service Sale Preparation Handbook (FSH 2409.18) and the Timber Cruising Handbook (FSH 2409.12). Contract performance period is from September 01, 2007, to December 31, 2010. Project Manager is Ray Hershey, (360) 956-2275. The government will proceed to issue a commercial service solicitation restricted to small business concerns. The size standard is $6.5 million for NAICS code 115310, Support Activities for Forestry. Offerors will be evaluated on price, experience, and past performance. Contract award will be to the offeror whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, is the best value to the government. Service Contract Act (SCA) wage rates apply to any resulting contract. The proposed contract-type is firm-fixed price, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity. Contract minimum amount is $35,000 and the maximum amount is $140,000 over the total contract period. This solicitation will be available on or about July 25, 2007. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered by the government. In accordance with FAR 4.1102(a), prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a contract. Lack of registration in the CCR on the part of the offeror will render an offeror ineligible for award.
