- THIS MODIFICATION CORRECTS THE NAICS TO 238150, GLASS AND GLAZING CONTRACTORS, AND THE SIZE STANDARD TO 13 MILLION. The U. S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Midwest Area, has a project entitled "Replace Atrium Panels" at the USDA-ARS-MWA-National Soil Tilth Laboratory, Ames, IA. The work includes but is not limited to: furnishing all labor, supervision, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and other necessary work for the replacement of the existing damaged or deteriorated atrium skylight metal panels. The panel replacement project includes re-sealing the existing metal wall panels, providing new skylight battens, new counterflashings and sealants. The period of performance is 120 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed (NTP). The Magnitude of Construction is estimated between $150,000 to $350,000. SET-ASIDE: This acquisition will be procured as a full and open competition under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. All responsible Businesses may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. The NAICS code is 238150 and the annual size standard is 13 million. This is an Invitation for Bid (IFB) and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-17. Solicitation No. AG-5114-S-07-AA06 is scheduled for uploading on or about July 9, 2007. The solicitation will be posted on the FedBizOpps website at www.fedbizopps.gov. No paper copies of the solicitation will be issued. It is the responsibility of the contractor to check the website for the solicitation, as well as any amendments that may arise. A pre-bid site visit will be scheduled and information provided in the solicitation package. This will be the only opportunity to visit the job site prior to submission of bid. Sealed bids will be due by 2:00 PM on August 8, 2007. A firm-fixed price contract will be awarded to the responsible offeror who submits the lowest bid. Contractors are required to register or update their registration at the Central Contractor Registration website at www.ccr.gov in order to receive a contract award under this solicitation, and register or update their registration at the Online Representation and Certification Application website at http://orca.bpn.gov.
